The Islamic Republic Revolution Guards Corps’, IRGC, forces have infiltrated the US military command and control centers in recent years, the IRGC Aerospace Force Commander, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh avowed on Friday, September 15.

In an exclusive interview with the state run TV, Gen. Hajizadeh has also maintained, “Over the past years, the IRGC forces have obtained information on what the Americans have been monitoring, what they have been ignoring, and how they have been supporting Daesh” or IS.

Furthermore, Hajizadeh has cautioned, “Should the IRGC be given permission to disclose its documented evidence, the US will be pushed deep into a big scandal”.

The senior commander, who is well known for his news making comments, did not elaborate on the details of how and when the IRGC forces infiltrated the US military command and control centers, or why is it not allowed to “disclose the documented evidence” that “will push the US into a big scandal”.

The US government has not yet responded to Hajizadeh’s curious remarks.

The IRGC Aerospace Force Commander is the same person who during a war game, on March 8, 2016, commented, “The reason we designed our missiles with a range of 2,000 km (roughly 1243 miles) is to be able to hit our enemy the Zionist regime (Israel) from a safe distance”.

From the early days of the Islamic State group (IS) emergence in Iraq and Syria, the Islamic Republic officials have repeatedly claimed that the US and its allies have created and strengthened IS to hit Iran.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, ayatollah Ali Khamenei has gone further and claimed that the opposition of the US and a number of its regional allies to IS are not real and they are not after “rooting out” the group.

Nevertheless, the American led International Coalition forces’ campaign against IS in Iraq and Syria is currently reaching to its crucial stages.

The IRGC Aerospace Force Commander, in another part of his interview had more “newsy” comments by insisting, “None of the armies in the whole world is on par with the IRGC”.

Referring to the US’ GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), commonly labelled as the "Mother Of All Bombs", which was developed in 2003 and the US Air Force first used it to pound tunnels in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province this April, Amir Ali Hajizadeh boasted of Iran having developed a bigger bomb and dubbed it as the “Father of All Bombs”.

Iran Students News Agency, ISNA cited Hajizadeh as saying, “Following a proposal by the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), [Iran’s] Defense Industries [Organization] manufactured a 10-ton bomb. These bombs are at our disposal. They can be launched from [Russian made] Ilyushin aircraft and they are highly destructive”.

Hajizadeh has used the term “Father of All Bombs” at a time that the term has already been used for a Russian made bomb.

The Russian news channel, RT, in a lighter tone reported, “The new Iranian ordnance, however, might trigger a bomb paternity dispute, as Russia already possesses a non-nuclear ordnance known as the “daddy.”

Furthermore, RT refers to another confusion in the IRGC Brigadier General’s comments, “Since the American device weighs 9.8 tons and yields 11 tons in TNT equivalent, the IRGC commander presumably referred to the weight of the new Iranian ordnance rather than its destructive potential”.

The IRGC Aerospace Force Commander had previously referred to Iranian made bombs weighing half a ton, one ton and two tons, and boasted, “Manufacturing bombs weighing ten tons, similar to what the US used in Afghanistan is quite easy for us”.

However, no other top Iranian commander has claimed the development of such a destructive bomb.

Moreover, Iran’s Ministry of Defense website, which lists Iranian made weaponry under the title of “Defensive Capabilities”, has never mentioned such bombs in its lists.
