President Donald Trump has said the United States can help Iran "make a very good and short-time recovery" from the "powerful sanctions" imposed by the United States. In his annual State of the Union address delivered on February 4 in Washington, Trump also defended the assassination of Iran's influential commander Qassem Soleimani and praised Iranian anti-government protesters who "raise their voices against their oppressive rulers."
