A Russian domestic passenger plane with 71 people aboard crashed shortly after taking off from a Moscow airport, Russian media report.

The Antonov An-148 operated by Saratov Airlines vanished from radar screens on February 11 as it was en route from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport in Moscow to Orsk in the Urals, according to Interfax.

"Tentatively, the plane has crashed near the village of Argunovo,” about 80 kilometers southeast of Moscow, Interfax quoted a source in the emergency services as saying.

“The crew and passengers had no chance to survive," the source added.

Another source told TASS that fragments of the plane had been found, adding that “no one survived."

The emergency services are reportedly unable to reach the crash site by road.

Sixty-five passengers and six crew were believed to be onboard.

The Transport Ministry was considering weather conditions and human error as possible reasons for the crash, according to Interfax.
