Iranian Women Defeat India To Win Gold In Kabaddi At Asian Games

A team of Iranian athletes has won the women’s kabaddi title at the Asian Games in Jakarta, defeating India on August 24 by a score of 27-24.

The victory came a day after the Iranian men’s team in the sport stunned seven-time champion India in the semifinals.

The Iranian men’s team is due to play South Korea later on August 24 for the gold medal.

Kabaddi is a sport that combine aspects of tag and tackle with wrestling moves.

It has long been dominated by India.
