Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameni on Wednesday warned of “the enemy’s war posture” and said that the enemy “only in appearance does not have a combat posture”.

At the same time, Khamenei added that “of course our military is alert”.

In a meeting with teachers Khamenei spoke about adversary’s war readiness and its offensive economic and political moves, as well as its attacks in cyberspace and the “infiltration” of its intelligence organs.

“America and Zionism are planning and making moves in all areas. Of course, this is not unique to the current American administration. Previous administrations have also done the same things with velvet gloves. But the help the current president has given us is that he has taken off these gloves and everyone can see what they have hidden underneath”, Khamenei told his audience.

President Donald Trump rejected the nuclear agreement his predecessor had signed with Iran and other world powers in 2015 and reimposed tough sanctions, demanding Iran's ruler to change their "malign" behavior in the region.

Iran’s economic situation has sharply deteriorated as a result, with its currency in shambles and oil exports more than halved.
