A new video was received from Iran on the ongoing deadly protests. It allegedly shows angry demonstrators attacking a police HQ with stones and Molotov cocktails in Ghahdarijan in central Iran. The forces at the police base appear to be shooting at the protesters.
As of today, at least 25 people have been confirmed dead. Opposition sources say the number is higher.
Ghahdarijan is 24 km from Isfahan (Esfahan) which is one of the largest cities in Iran. Isfahan itself has been the scene of mass protests againt what initially started as a demonstration against vast corruption and grinding poverty.
The protests have now gone into their sixth day. Although there is no obvious leadership - at least so far - the demonstrations have more or less followed a similar pattern. They start in the evening, mainly comprised of disenfranchised youths. The Islamic Republic television has announced that more than 90 per cent of those arrested so far have been under 25 years of age.
Slogans against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and tearing down his posters - once unimaginable - are now almost ubiquitous all around the country.
As the unrest continues in Iran, videos such as the one above keep flooding the internet via messaging applications - mainly the Telegram.
