An explosion in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, on October 31 has caused numerous casualties, witnesses and Afghan officials said.
The Afghan Interior Ministry and police confirmed there was an explosion in the heavily fortified area but could not immediately provide further details.
A Reuters television team saw at least eight people who appeared to have been killed and several others wounded at the site of the blast in the city's Wazir Akbar Khan area.
A public health official said three dead bodies and 10 wounded had been taken to city hospitals.
